One month, one dress.

Ok! So, new project time people.
I am going to wear this dress (once I've ironed it, ahem) every day for a whole month.
The idea is to get a bit more creative with how I wear my clothes, and not to rely on just buying new stuff to achieve a new look. I've seen a few other bloggers do it and it seemed a neat idea, so.
Before you ask, yes it's going to get washed regularly. Probably on my PJ days, because those are an embarassingly regular occurance.

So, day 1.
I wore it pretty normally, like a dress. You actually can't see much of it under all my layers today, but it was all cold and misty out so this is pretty much how I wore it all day.
Dress- Love Label. Jumper- H&M. Tights- Margaret Aston. Jacket - Ashish for Topshop. Loafers - Topshop. Lipstick - No.7

So yeah, I need to hoover. Also, I wear that jacket kind of a lot, so expect to see it a bunch. Thirdly, my camera/editing skills are pretty laughable, and I'm stuck editing on GIMP which I have no idea how to use so I promise I'll get better as I go along.

Thanks go to Bhakti for being my trusty camera elf.

Wish me luck!

Street style - Pride edition!

So er, it's been a horrendously long time since my first post (in which I promised to post again the following week), but I promise you it's totally almost not all my fault. It's done nothing but rain since my last post and er, most people don't want to get soaked in the name of my hobby.

But! Never fear, I have some stuff for you. Last week I went to London Pride with my hetero (and not so hetero) life partners (Hi Jenny Paul Aidan and Charlotte heh) and I took some pictures of the fabulous people in the parade. They're a bit iffy because I was a complete idiot and forgot to charge my camera so they're off my iPhone. But, tis the contents not the medium that's important so onward- to the photos!

(also I'm doing this on my phone so I dunno how it's going to turn out, apologies.)

First off we have a small mermaid contingent- I'm impressed by the hight of the first lady's beehive but not much as this next magical creature's HEADDRESS. It's got shells on you guys, I'm a sucker for a bit of hasty glue gun work, and she has a small fish entourage to whisper fabulous things in her ears.

This next guy did cool ninja-y balancy stuff and kept his hat on the whole time.

I haven't got a tonne to say about Ms Strictly Ballroom here, apart from I want a headdress like that to wear on the tube everyday and anger people with my realness. And itchy feathers.

This girl is like, a badass Disney princess who instead of being rescued by a featureless prince she stabs the patriarchy in the HEART. Er, I'm a bit excited.

Guys, this lady is wearing a dress made of urinals filled with condoms. This is Art yo.

Um, anarchist Boris? Just because.

And finally, my favourite guy I saw all day. I have no idea what's going on here but I lus it.

So, there we have it. Special mention goes to Aidan for signing the same line of Born to be Wild for a whole hour, cheers bud.

I'll try not to leave it so long next time sorry.

Greetings and salutations.

So, it's summer and I decided to actually leave the house and start a street style blog. Not for nothing was a lovely camera bestowed upon me this christmas just gone. :)

I liked this guy's pink tweedy (is it tweedy? I can't tell) jacket and boots combination, it was really appropriate to the sunny but blustery weather we had. His girlfriend was also a pretty stylish lady but she got all camera shy..

Check out this lady! I am admittedly biased because I had cruella hair like hers before easter, but argh, I hope I'm this cool when I'm middle aged.

I love that this guy is just in his work uniform but has still set his trousers and shirt in such a way as to put his own stamp on it. Wish he hadn't hidden his cigarette though, it made the photo less dramatic..

I caught these guys on the way back from a wedding, they seemed really pleased and surprised to be asked.
Special shout out goes to the idiot in the background. Thank you sir, for ruining my nice photo.

Lots of seriously hip middle-aged folks out in Bristol today.

I had the nicest day today, there was some sort of green fair going on down by the Hippodrome and it being Saturday the markets down Corn Street and by
the river were on. Also there was a man dressed as a fish. Observe:

And a van full of people trying to start up an island, I think.
Ok, so first post done, I shall take some more photos next time its sunny/next Saturday.
